As public funding for higher education becomes scarcer, campus housing is one of many departments feeling the budget crunch. As colleges and universities admit more students, there is an increased need for new residence halls. Public-Private Partnerships (P3) have become a common solution to the housing dilemma. This interactive discussion will feature a panel of professionals currently engaged and/or working with off-campus private housing partners. The panel session will utilize assessment practices and student development theory, as it relates to residence life, to guide an interactive discussion on creating successful P3 relationships and how to address possible conflicts.
